Music with History: Old Testament and the Ancient World begins at the scene of the first music recorded in the Scriptures. As the lessons progress the student discovers the role music played in the lives of the early peoples of ancient Mesopotamia, Egypt, and other
early cultures. The study concludes with the role music played in worship during David and Solomon's time. The curriculum uses songs and a sound-off to help the student memorize many of the facts learned throughout the year. The curriculum covers most of the standards developed by the National Association for Music Education. |
